Good ideas always come along when you least expect them, and usually after a few beers. DarkDaze aka Kevin Mason wanted a new platform to start presenting new, slick and beautiful photography, and to do it with the best.
On a grey afternoon outside the Prince Albert photography gurus Louie Banks and Sam Hiscox, were recruited to create a special edition fashion magazine. They went on to bag styling queens and creative geniuses of Ophelia Fancy, Emma Sandham-King and Stevi Jelbart. GangUp 2, so you were waiting, got bored of waiting, then heard talk and got excited and then its the end of March and no mag is in your hands and no party has been announced. Well it really is coming soon, but I cant give you a date yet, as we are waiting for Sam to finish his shoots.
Now I cant complain, when I started this I knew it wouldnt be easy, but running a mag with no advertising, then gettin screwed by Borders, and all of us working full time means theres been disputes, walk-outs, walk back in agains, and all types of fun. But thats why I love this Gang of people. It will be with you soon, really, you havent missed the launch, and it will piss on everything else. Really.
Sam has been hanging out with Naomi again. She’s gonna be lending him her lowrider for a hot as hell shoot which you’re only gonna get your eyes on when you check out our second issue. keep em peeled were comin’ atcha reeeeal soon…
